South Bass Taphouse opened in 2017, making it one of the newest bars on Put-in-Bay. A welcomed addition to the already stellar lineup of bars on the Bay, South Bass Taphouse offers a chill vibe with some of the friendliest bartenders around. They serve in impressive array of craft brews alongside live entertainment, spots of the flat screen, and bar games.
Live Music at South Bass Taphouse
South Bass Taphouse is open all year long. This is a great place to catch the Super Bowl, World Series, and other sports events. During the summer season they also have a stellar lineup of live musicians. One of the favorites is Matt Goodrich who was named Cleveland Area’s Favorite Local Artist in 2017. He plays country music on his guitar, providing the soundtrack to a perfect summer night.
Challenge your friends to a rousing game of ping pong and buy a bottle of craft brew for the winner. This is not the place to drink Bud Light or Miller. Catawba IPA is a favorite of the South Bass crowds. The bartenders are happy to discuss the intricacies of brewing with visitors. Knowledgeable and passionate, they can also mix up a high quality cocktail from the full bar.
South Bass Taphouse is smack dab in the middle of downtown Put-in-Bay. Across the street from Perry’s Park, grab dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area before heading to the Taphouse. Tipper’s Seafood and Steakhouse is right next door. Grab a sub from Subway at the Commodore Resort Hotel or enjoy a meal at Mr. Ed’s Bar and Grill.
Late night options also satisfy with Mama Maria’s Pizza right down the street and Big Mans’ Burrito Bar at Frosty’s.
Located very close to the Jet Express terminal and the docks of Put-in-Bay, you will love spending your summer’s at the South Bass Taphouse.
