When is the Ohio State Fair?

What’s more nostolgic Americana than a summertime fair? Drive a few hours south of Put-in-Bay to check out the Ohio State Fair in Columbus, Ohio every summer at the start of August. Sample cotton candy, corndogs, cheese curds, and all the fair food you can endulge. Watch piglets and potato sacks race. Hear amazing rock and country music. You can even get your thrills on from some wild rides, and peruse over tons of horticulture and agricultural exhibits. Attendance hits a high of almost one million people. You might even get to see a few cows being sculpted from pure butter! Yes, butter sculptures!

Rock and rollers can unite in Cleveland, Ohio at the Hall of Fame. It houses John Lennon’s colorful Sgt. What to see at U.S. Air Force National Museum?

Find one of the world’s great historical attractions in Dayton, Ohio at Huffman Prairie Flying Field. In 1905, the Wright brothers finally perfected a powered aircraft here capable of sustained and reliable flight. That plane, the Wright Flyer III, is located in the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, which further makes Dayton the aviation capital of the U.S. Dayton is also home to the U.S. Air Force National Museum, the world’s oldest and largest military aviation museum. It hosts one of the largest air shows in the nation.
