Downtown Dave - Memorial Day Weekend So the beginning of the Summer season is here with Memorial Day weekend. This is always a special weekend to honor those Americans that lost their lives protecting our country. This Holiday started 158 years ago in 1868 after the Civil War when Americans decorated the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers.
