The Jet Express and Miller Ferry are the most popular option for visitors. The schedules of both ferries will depend on the time year. The Miller Ferry leaves from Port Clinton, Ohio while the Jet Express departs from both Port Clinton, Ohio, and Sandusky, Ohio. The Jet Express also offers transportation to Kelley’s Island.

For boaters, Put-In-Bay has dockage, marinas and boat ramps. Boat ramps are located right in downtown Put-in-Bay next to the Jet Express dock. The other location is at South Bass Island State Park. There are many options for boaters on the island! Visitors can also choose to rent jet skis, kayaks, and more.

For the fishermen and fisherwomen, there are fishing licenses and supply locations right on the island, as well. These licenses can be purchased at the Wharfside located in downtown Put-in-Bay. Licenses purchased to fish on Lake Erie are valid for 365 days. Please note that there are different rates for Ohio residents and Nonresidents.

The fishing does not stop in the winter! There are opportunities to stay on Put-in-Bay island and try your hand at ice fishing. Please note that limited Put-in-Bay hotels, Bed and Breakfasts, and rental homes are open but Put-in-Bay lodging is still available!
