Downtown Dave Had A Great Week!

This was another fun week. So a quick recap. I played 5 games of softball, saw some great live bands Thursday Friday and Saturday night. Then to top it off the local TV station came out to do an interview with me that aired on there morning show. on Thursday. I had a great week. I did because I refuse to just sit back and not do the things that I want to do. Plus I do things that make me happy.

My Thoughts For The Week

So we convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married and have kids. Then we get frustrated because the kids are not old enough and do not listen to what we tell them to do. Then we get frustrated when they become teenagers because they do not listen even more. So then we said we will be happy when we get a new house, or a new car or maybe a new relationship after that first marriage fizzles. But none of this makes you happy in the end. Your life will always be filled with challenges. It is best to admit this and be happy anyways. It seems like there is always an obstacle stopping you from really being happy with where you are in your life. So stop waiting to be happy.

until the season changes
until you get a new car or home
until your song comes on
until the end of the week or as some people wish Friday
until you start work
until you retire
until you finish school
until you have sobered up
until your car or house is paid off
There is no better time then right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey not a destination. Some people come into our life and quickly go. Some people become friends and stay a while…. leaving beautiful footprints on our hearts and we are never the same because we have made good friends.
